Based on true stories of “gaijin” teachers who became spectacularly undone and wreaked havoc on the peaceful city of Hiroshima in the 80s.

SUN SCHOOL BLUES is an episodic comedy drama inspired by true stories of a Japanese woman who faced off an onslaught of gaijin teachers and the social stigma of being a single mother while defending her volatile business upon which her and her daughters’ survival depended.  It explores the existential crisis of western characters as stereotyped minorities in a society they don’t belong to.  But once you belong to The Sun School, one must cope with the fact that, regardless of your color or creed, we are all imperfect human specimens so desperately in need to evolve in order to keep dreaming a better version of ourselves.
